Sheila Shadmand is the Partner-in-Charge of the Middle East & Africa for Jones Day, one of the world’s largest global law firms. Over her 26 years of her practice, she has represented large global corporates on a myriad of disputes and investigation matters. An American, she moved to Dubai in 2008 and was the first female head of an international law firm in the UAE (and likely the broader Gulf region). She is passionate about fostering collaborative environments for female C-Suite executives in the region, where they may share their experiences, ideas, and advice to propel the success and advancement of women in business. She is also passionate about creating programs and content that correct the often misperceived notion in the West of the role of women in the Middle East.
